What eInvoice does for your business, what stays your responsibility, and what each side can expect from the other.

These terms govern your use of eInvoice. By creating an account, or by letting your staff use one, your business accepts them.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

eInvoice is a merchant operations platform: point of sale, electronic invoicing, payment receipts, inventory, purchasing, withholding, branch management and reporting, connected to Ethiopia's fiscal infrastructure.
We may add, change or retire features as the platform develops. Where a change materially reduces what you rely on, we will give you notice before it takes effect.

Each person who uses the platform signs in with their own account. You decide who has access, what role they hold and which branches they can reach, and you are responsible for keeping those decisions current.
Actions taken by an account are treated as actions taken by your business. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

Running on eInvoice does not move your obligations onto us.

eInvoice supports your fiscal processes and integrates with the relevant systems. It does not replace the tax authority, and it does not make your business compliant on its own.
Certification, configuration and filing obligations remain between your business and the Ministry of Revenue. Where a submission is rejected by the fiscal system, the platform shows you the status, but resolving it remains your responsibility.

Subscription fees, what each plan includes and the billing period are set out in the plan you agree to when you sign up.
Fees are payable in advance unless we agree otherwise in writing. Unpaid accounts may be suspended after notice; your records remain available to export while the account exists.

We work to keep the platform available and to restore service quickly when it is not, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance is scheduled outside trading hours wherever possible.
Support runs during our published hours. Anything that stops a counter from trading is treated ahead of everything else.

The records you create on eInvoice belong to your business. We hold and process them to run the platform for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export your records while your account is active, and we will not use them for any purpose other than operating and improving the service.

The platform, its software, design and documentation remain ours. Your subscription grants your business the right to use them while it lasts, and nothing more.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for penalties arising from filings, declarations or configurations that were your responsibility.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may stop using eInvoice at the end of any billing period. We may suspend or end an account for unpaid fees, unlawful use, or use that puts the platform or other merchants at risk.
After termination we retain what Ethiopian record-keeping rules require and delete the rest, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as the platform and the rules around it change. The date on this page shows when they were last revised, and material changes are notified to account holders before they apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes fall to the courts of Addis Ababa.
