eInvoice sits between your counter and the fiscal system, so it holds records that matter. This is what we collect, what we do with it, and what stays yours.
01
This policy explains how eInvoice handles information when a business uses the platform for point of sale, invoicing, receipts, inventory, purchasing, withholding and branch reporting.
It applies to the people who run an eInvoice account — owners, managers and staff who sign in — and to the business records those people create while trading.
02
We collect what the platform needs to work and nothing we have no use for.
03
Information is used to operate the platform for your business: issuing and storing documents, keeping stock and reporting accurate, enforcing the access rules you set for your team, and supporting you when something needs attention.
We also use aggregated, non-identifying usage information to understand how the platform performs and where it should improve. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your business records for advertising.
04
Where a document has to reach Ethiopia's fiscal infrastructure, eInvoice submits it through EIRMS against the certified system number of the branch that issued it, and records what came back.
What that submission contains is set by the Ministry of Revenue, not by us. Once a document has been submitted, the authority's own rules govern how it is held and used.
05
Access inside your account is decided by you: each person sees what their role and branch allow.
06
Fiscal records are kept for as long as Ethiopian record-keeping rules require, which is generally longer than the life of your subscription. Other information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
When you close an account you can ask for an export of your records, and we will delete or anonymise what we are not required to retain.
07
Information is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted to the people who need it, and internal actions and fiscal exchanges are logged so an account holder can see what happened, who did it and when.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you what happened, what it affected and what we are doing about it.
08
You can access and correct the information in your account at any time, add or disable users, and ask us for a copy of your records or for information to be deleted where we are not required to keep it.
Requests are handled through the account owner, since the business — not eInvoice — decides who may act on its records.
10
If this policy changes we will update the date on this page and, where the change is significant, tell account holders directly before it takes effect.
